Cleopatra: Lesson Plans

Included in Cleopatra is a set of lesson plans based on nine of the objects and designed to provide interdisciplinary classroom activities that will enhance students’ understanding of ancient cultures, sometimes through drawing connections to their own. Intended for grades four through twelve, the plans follow a set format.

For each individual lesson plan, specific skills and focuses are identified, academic subject areas and thematic connections are delineated, and instructional materials are listed, along with step-by-step procedures.

Each plan concludes with a list of the Illinois State Board of Education learning goals it fulfills. This helpful classroom material can be used as both a pre- and post-museum visit resource.

The lesson plans are in English only.

In order to print complete sets of Lesson Plans for each of the three grade categories you will need Adobe Acrobat.
