    TICKETS

    Tickets are dated and timed.
    Ticket price includes general admission.
    $12, Monday–Thursday
    $15, Friday–Sunday
    Residents of the City of Chicago receive a discount on tickets purchased in person at the museum. Discounted tickets are $9, Monday–Thursday; $12, Friday–Sunday.


    There are three ways to order:
    1. In person—Tickets may be purchased at the Art Institute during regular museum hours with cash, traveler’s check, or credit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, or Discover). Personal checks are not accepted. An audio tour can be ordered for $6 ($5 for members) with each ticket purchased. Public tickets can also be purchased in person at Illinois Ticketmaster centers. There is a convenience fee for each ticket purchased at a ticket center.

    2. By phone—Call (312) 930–4040, Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–9:00 p.m.; Saturday, 8:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m.; Sunday, 8:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. (CST). There is a convenience fee for each ticket purchased by phone and a handling fee per order (members pay reduced fees). Tickets may be mailed to you or picked up at the will-call window depending on the date of your order.

    3. Online —Tickets may be purchased online daily, 8:00 a.m.–midnight (CST). There is a convenience fee for each ticket purchased online and a handling fee per order (members pay reduced fees). Tickets may be mailed to you or picked up at the will-call window depending on the date of your order.

    There are no refunds, exchanges, or resale of tickets. No replacements, refunds, or compensation for lost, stolen, or unused tickets. You must bring your tickets with you when you visit the exhibition.

    AUDIO TOUR

    A 40-minute comprehensive audio tour of the exhibition is available for $5 for members, $6 for the public. The recorded tour may be ordered and pre-paid when ordering tickets or can be purchased with cash at the exhibition entrance. The audio tour is free to visually impaired visitors, and an enlarged-type transcript of the tour is available for hearing-impaired visitors.

    DINING IN THE MUSEUM

    Enjoy a served lunch or snack featuring seasonal flavors in the new Garden Restaurant, open 11:30 a.m.–3:00 p.m. daily, closed holidays. The Café is open every day until one hour before museum closing and offers a variety of food, including soups, deli sandwiches, carved meats, Italian pies, desserts, and many heart-healthy choices, all in a casual environment. Both restaurants are located on the lower level, accessible from the Columbus Drive entrance.

    The Museum Shop also offers a selection of products related to the exhibition. The Shop is located in the Michigan Avenue lobby, and a special shop annex is located at the exhibition exit.


    LOCATION
