Hailed as "Chicago's most famous restaurant," Henrici's German Restaurant served up to 500 diners at once and was known for its delicious foods, low prices, and coffee with real whipped cream! In 1962, every building on this block was demolished to make way for the new Chicago Civic Center (now the Richard J. Daley Center).
