04. Archigram 8. London: Archigram, 1968
Archigram 8 was created for the 1967 Milan Triennale, the theme of which was "The Greater Number," reflecting the emergence of world population as an environmental and social problem. Cushicle was designed as an inflatable, mobile capsule for living. Conceptualized as a complete structure that allowed access to water, heat, and food (and even television and radio), the Cushicle reflected Archigram's emphasis on the mobile and convenient in architecture.
