In this excerpt from a 1965 tour of the Hilliard Homes construction with counter-cultural icon Timothy Leary, the two men look down on the grounds of the project where an outdoor amphitheatre and bike path will be constructed with the intention of bringing young and old together:

"We designed a bicycle drag strip that we are putting in here. I hope the old people will administer... as judges and get the game up. This is the way we used to do it back on the block, remember boys?"
