William Brubaker (1926-2002).
New Trier High School, Winnetka, IL, c.1962.
Brubaker, a partner in the architecture firm Perkins & Will, wrote and lectured extensively on school design. The firm was long noted for its school designs going back to Dwight Perkins's work for the Chicago Public Schools system and subsequently Larry Perkins's Crow Island School in Winnetka. In the Chicago area Brubaker worked on designs for the Evanston High School and Jones Commercial High School, as well as First National Bank.
