During the summer campaign, our troops have driven the enemy out of the left-bank of the Ukraine, out of the Donbass, Taman', the Orel region and the Smolensk region; they have entered the right-bank [of the] Ukraine and captured the capital of the Soviet Ukraine, Kiev; they have entered Belarus and occupied the approach into the Crimea; they have liberated more than 160 cities and 38,000 towns.
(From an order of the Superior Commander and Marshal of the USSR, J. Stalin)

The black horde of villains
Will not stop our advance.
The Russian villages call on us
Our native cities call.

Taste our bombs enemy;
The power of our strikes will increase.
And soon the Supreme Leader
Will congratulate us with our complete victory.
