1- The Fascists occupied the village
And in fear of the partisans
They posted up this sign
(They had a dim-witted plan.)

2 – The day of the fifth came and went
And the Fascist captain growled
That despite the threat of violence
No one bothered to show.

3 – So the captain changed the sign,
Cursing the villagers’ stubbornness
And so he extended the deadline
By three more days, until the eighth.

4 – But vainly awaiting the meeting,
The Fascists sat alone,
And the final deadline was changed
To the thirteenth of the month.

5 – The partisans finally appeared
Right on schedule on the thirteenth.
And seeing their expected guests
The “Nazis” took to their heels..

6 – On foot, on horse, by cars
They fled however they could,
But their guests still made sure
That they no longer felt at home.

The text of the announcement on the wall in four of the panels is the same, except for the modified dates and translates as follows:
To the Russians, as they say.
We wish no harm.
All men
Must appear on the 5th of this month.
