Our Troops, Advancing Ever Further, Have Reached Our State Border, the Prut River, TASS No. 0924, March 28, 1944

Stencil
1795 x 1065 mm
Inscribed on the paper in the image:
“Order! Hold on at any cost. Hitler”

The beaten Fascists are in no mood to laugh.
How can they? Disaster’s all around.
The only pastime left to them
Is to lie openly, without shame!
Here is Hitler, having “partially retreated,”
“Elastically defended,”
And “removed troops from the line of fire.”
There he “leveled” the front, cursing
The dirt and the cold at will.
There he “forced onward” through a puddle
And yelled that “the Russians will be cornered!”
He’s silent about the fact
That the Germans are encircled.
No matter what the Germans say,
It’s all absolutely false.
Who has yet to learn
That we are beating the Germans soundly,
And that soon the day will arise
When our units will knock out their teeth,
Not leaving a single toothy stump
In their black Fascist snouts!
