    Residents of the City of Chicago receive a discount on tickets purchased in person at the museum. Discounted tickets are $9, Monday–Thursday; $12, Friday–Sunday.

    There are three ways to order:
    1. In person—Tickets may be purchased at the Art Institute during regular museum hours with cash, traveler's check, or credit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover). Personal checks are not accepted. An audio tour can be ordered for $6 with each ticket purchased.

    2. By phone—Call (312) 930–4040, Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–9:00 p.m.; Saturday, 8:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m.; Sunday, 8:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. (CST). There is a $4.25 convenience fee for each ticket purchased by phone and a $2.60 handling fee per order. Tickets may be mailed to you or picked up at the will-call window depending on the date of your order.

    3. Online —Tickets may be purchased online daily, 8:00 a.m.–midnight (CST). There is a $4.25 convenience fee for each ticket purchased online and a $2.60 handlling fee per order. Tickets may be mailed to you or picked up at the will-call window depending on the date of your order.

    There are no refunds, exchanges, or resale of tickets. No replacements, refunds, or compensation for lost, stolen, or unused tickets. You must bring your tickets with you when you visit the exhibition.


    MEMBERSHIP

    AUDIO TOUR
    $5 for members and School of the Art Institute students

    The audio tour is free to visually impaired visitors, and an enlarged type transcript of the tour is available at no cost for hearing impaired visitors. At no additional cost, guests may also use the audio tour to explore the Art Institute’s distinguished collection of American arts, one floor down from the exhibition, with overviews of each gallery and selected highlights of the collection.

    DINING IN THE MUSEUM
    Restaurant on the Park 11:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m., Monday–Saturday; closed holidays. Please note that reservations will not be accepted during the run of the exhibition. Court Café is open every day until one hour before museum closing.
