Boudicca’s first fragrance, Wode, took seven years to develop. It takes its name from the woad plant, the source of a natural indigo dye, which, according to legend, was used as a war paint for tribal markings by the ancient Britons, including Queen Boudicca. The perfume is unlike any other: it is sprayed from a can onto the skin like opaque blue paint, but the color dissolves with a touch of the hand, leaving behind only the scent.
