The scenes from Ware’s most recent collected work, Building Stories, are formed around a quintessential depiction of a late 19th century Chicago brownstone. Certain events are described from the personified perspective of the building, assessing the habits of current tenants and recalling the ones of the past. The form of a comic page has many similarities to building, straight lines and square windows frame the occurrences inside.
