La Sylphide was a weekly publication that featured articles on fashion, literature, and the arts. Each issue was accompanied by engravings that included several hand-colored fashion plates and a wealth of information regarding the designers of the clothes featured within its pages.
The Ryerson and Burnham Libraries have all fourteen volumes of this title.
