Antonín Pelc (1895-1967)

One of a number of artists who worked with the co-operative publisher Družstevní práce, the artist, designer and cartoonist Antonín Pelc mainly designing bindings. He did, however, produce several cover designs as well. These all demonstrate the distinctive style of the publisher as well as the influence of Ladislav Sutnar.

Vojtěch Tittelbach (1900-1971)

Another artist to work with Družstevní práce, Vojtěch Tittelbach designed this striking cover for Řezáč's autobiographical novel in 1935.

František Muzika (1900-1974)

Also working with Družstevní práce, the painter and designer František Muzika was an early member of Devětsil but left the group in 1922. Though his early work can be linked to Devětsil, by the 1930's Muzika had moved much closer to Surrealism as can be seen in his cover for Bloch's novel.
