Included here is a set of lesson plans designed to provide teachers interdisciplinary classroom activities that will enhance students’ understanding of the murals in their schools. Intended primarily for grade-school students, but including ideas for teachers of pre-school and high school students, the plans follow a set format. Academic subject areas and Illinois Learning Standards are listed, along with key terms, instructional materials, and step-by-step procedures. This helpful classroom material may be used as both a pre- and post-museum-visit resource.
