Christopher Morley Cocktail
- 2 ounces Koval Lion's Pride rye
- 1 ounce sweet vermouth (Wormwood-based Cocchi di Torino, Punt e Mes, or Carpano from Italy are best or traditional Wormwood-based Balsam from the US)
- 1 barspoon Letherbee Bourbon Barrel absinthe
- orange zest
Chill a cocktail coupe with ice. Add absinthe to coupe and stir. Discard ice and excess absinthe (leaving a chilled absinthe-scented rinse in the coupe).
In a heavy glass, combine rye and sweet vermouth. Fill with ice and stir 33 times. Strain chilled rye and sweet vermouth into absinthe-scented coupe. Garnish with orange zest.
